New to our Steady Step™ line of products, the Heel Hugger™ is a patent pending product designed to treat heel pain and inflammatory problems of the heel. The Sealed Ice™ gel pads located on each side of the calcaneus below the level of the talo-calcaneal joint, are designed to limit lateral and medial movement of the heel. Reducing this movement of the calcaneus provides stability in the shoe.

Retrocalcaneal bursitis and spurs - An inflammatory disorder of the bursa (a sac lined with a synovial-like membrane located where friction occurs between tendon and bony prominences) at the point between the calcaneal tuberosity and the Achilles Tendon. Commonly seen with narrow heels, this is due to excessive medial and lateral movement of the calcaneus in the shoe.
