Adult Knee Cryo Cuff
The Knee Cryo/Cuff combines the therapeutic benefits of controlled
compression to minimize hemarthrosis and swelling, and cold to minimize
pain. The cuff is anatomically designed to completely fit the knee
providing maximum cryotherapy. Its simplicity makes it ideal for the ER,
post-op, training room and home. The Knee Cryo/Cuff is available in
three sizes for adults and is also available in a
pediatric size,
designed for children 1 - 7 years of age.
An insulated jug holds up to 4 liters of
ice and water - enough for 6 to 8 hours of therapy.
All Cryo/Cuffs can be ordered as a single cuff, or
with a cooler (including a tube assembly and insulation disk). The
Cooler is available separately and can be used with any model in the
Cryo/Cuff line.

Elevating the cooler fills and pressurizes the cuff.
Compression is controlled by gravity, and is proportional to the
elevation of the cooler. For example, if the cooler is 20" above
the cuff during filling, the applied compression will be approximately
35mm Hg (1" elevation = 1.8 mm Hg pressure). When body heat warms
the water, it is rechilled simply by lowering the cooler. Indications: Post-Operative
- ACL reconstructions , General arthroscopies Non-Operative-Patello femoral pain,
Degenerative joint disease, sprains
Contraindications:
Cryotherapy should not be used with persons with Raynaud's or other
vasospastic disease, cold hypersensitivity, or compromised local circulation.

The Cryo/Cuff system contains 3 basic components: |
- Cuff- covers the injured
area.
- Cooler- holds enough water
and ice for 6 to 8 hours of cryotherapy.
- Tube- exchanges the water
between cooler and cuff.
